Covid 19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic Policies

Along with the rest of the world, we were deeply concerned about the Covid pandemic. While we know we are not currently under Pandemic levels, we recognize that the virus is still active. Vaccinations and medicines have been great and can lessen symptoms of those who do test positive. However, we never know which guests may be immunocompromised or have health issues that increase their risks.

There is no greater priority than protecting our collective health and minimizing the threat to guests and ourselves. The Brewster Inn is our home as well as our business. We want you to know our commitment to the health of our guests and staff will continue to be our top priority.

The pandemic has caused things to change in most industries, including ours. We’ve worked hard to adapt the changes into our routines and procedures. While some things may be different, we are still committed to giving our guests the best stay possible.

Following the State of Maine, CDC and WHO guidance, means some things that will be different than they have in the past. Some of those differences include:

*Masks: we continue to wear masks around guests for all of our protection. There is only the two of us so if we get sick then we have to close down. Guests are not required to wear masks, but are welcome to do whatever they feel most comfortable with.

*Housekeeping in rooms: we do not come into the rooms and do a daily freshen up. Upon check in we will explain the procedure to follow if you need fresh towels, etc.

*Housekeeping in general: We have always followed an extensive cleaning list. But since the Covid 19 pandemic we have added additional steps under the CDC guidance. Including paying extra attention to all high touch areas, such as doorknobs, remotes, light switches, etc.  And using cleaning products that are on the CDC list approved as effective in killing the Covid 19 virus. We continue to do spot cleaning of these high touch areas in the common areas throughout the day.

We appreciate all our guests and we will do everything we can to help you have a safe, peaceful and relaxing time while with us. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

 Mark and Tina
