Our Historic Register Inn is located in Dexter, Maine, just 20 minutes off I-95 and close to the city of Bangor, the magnificent Maine coastline, the beautiful, scenic Moosehead Lake and Mount Katahdin region of Maine. (Possibly the home to the 2nd National Park in Maine in the next few years)

The Brewster Inn is the former mansion home of Maine Governor and U.S. Congressman and U.S. Senator Ralph Owen Brewster and his wife Dorothy. It features classic 1930’s elegance in a small town setting,

Our centrally located Maine Inn offers a warm, relaxing, and friendly atmosphere. Featuring spacious common rooms and nine beautifully decorated, comfortable guestrooms and suites. Our lodging accommodations range from expansive to cozy with each offering a distinct personality. Some feature fireplaces, original wood paneling and window seats. One has a whirlpool bath for one and another has a huge 30 jet airtub for two. One handicapped accessible guest room is also available. All our guest rooms have private bathrooms, some with shower only, some with tub and shower,  excellent water pressure, fast and free Wi-Fi, very comfortable beds, large smart TVs, mini fridge/microwave, independent heating controls and air conditioning (in season).

The beauty of Maine is that it is a 4 season destination. The Brewster Inn and Dexter are the geographical center point of Maine. Hundreds of guests stay multiple nights every year and are encouraged to: unpack their bags, relax and treat the Brewster Inn like home and enjoy all the home away from home comforts, come and go as you please and have a great time exploring all that Maine has to offer.

Anything you want to do is possible using the Brewster Inn as a base whether it be guided moose and wildlife tours, white water rafting, canoe and kayaking, boating, ATV riding, snowmobiling, * skiing, snow shoeing, fishing and ice fishing, dog sledding, hiking, scenic drives, small plane tours over the beautiful Maine wilderness, winery tours, lighthouse trips, antiquing, even guided tours featuring the sights and sounds of locations that author Stephen King has written about and used in books and films.

*For snowmobilers and ATV riders, ITS-85 (Interconnected Trail System) to the Moosehead Lake region and Canada runs right by the Brewster Inn.
